Dalia's birthday party was so fun. It was just a family affair so it made it less stressful, too. I had planned on making her a cool cake, but so many things were going on, I just didn't have time. My mom got Dalia a balloon bouquet and she would not let go of the balloons. She didn't want anyone to touch them either. She is so funny with balloons. We made some yummy snacks and made sure to have Cheetos for Dalia. Dalia's favorite movie is Toy Story, which she calls Chicken Man, and in the second movie the chicken man drops a big bowl of Cheetos on the ground while he is sleeping. Every time this happens, Dalia runs up to the tv screen to grab a bunch of Cheetos and pretend to eat them. It's really funny.
The first present Dalia opened was a Toy Story book. She really didn't want to open any other presents after that and, in fact, threw the next present offered to her to the floor. Haha. She got a coloring book, piggy bank, some cute clothes and a gift card. She also got several other Toy Story gifts. Buzz is her favorite. She got a Buzz shirt, umbrella, little action figure and some cups. She was in Heaven.
I put the Buzz and Woody action figures on her cake and she enjoyed having them at the table with her as she ate her cake. She smiled as we sang Happy Birthday to her and did a better job blowing out the candles on this cake. No hair was caught on fire.
I can't believe Dalia is 2! She is so adorable :)
