Summer vacation in Texas- July 2011

We got to go home to Texas for a couple of weeks in July.  We were able to celebrate Whitlee's birthday with her, witness Hazel's baby blessing and be there for our friend, Luke's, mission homecoming.  We went down to Houston and Galveston Beach and even went bowling.  We had lots of fun with family and friends and even got to spend an entire day at a water park where I think Mina had some of the most fun in her life!

July 4, 2011

We decided to have a 4th of July party at the White's house.  Sarah threw a little potluck and decorated her house and had us and few other families over, including the Milligans (Mina and Teresa were beginning to be best friends.  It was a lot of fun and, of course, a lot of delicious food.  Sarah made a fruit tart cake and it was a huge hit.  I could have eaten the whole thing myself.  Later on, we walked across the street to a big field to watch the fireworks.  Mina had been excited about them the entire day.  Then once they started she got really scared and sat on Dru's lap with her eyes covered the entire time.  It was so funny.
