March 2012

I got to take the girls to a princess party for a Relief Society meeting.  I also got to help prepare some of the food for it.  My friend, Tara, and I made some delicious cake pops.  They were really delicious.  They had some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches cut out in cute shapes, yummy punch, cookies and fruit.  They also had someone taking pictures and a bunch of princess clothes to dress up in.  They also talked about women in the scriptures.  Mina had a lot of fun.  She was a little rambunxious with her friend Teresa, but I don't know what else they expected inviting all the little girls in the ward to a princess party.  Haha.
I threw 2 more baby showers this month for a friend named Tania and a friend named Kara.  They both turned out wonderfully.  All of the trees started blooming this month and Mina was obsessed with all the popcorn popping on the trees.  Every time we went outside she would look for popcorn.  It was cute.

Mina started taking swimming lessons this month.  She had so much fun and she's really progressing.

Dalia somehow managed to catch the wonderful Hand, Foot and Mouth disease. It was TERRIBLE!  She had sores covering the inside of her mouth and throat which made it extremely difficult and painful to eat.  She drooled a ton and just wanted to be held.  I didn't get much sleep while she was dealing with this.  I felt so bad for her, but she was a trooper and hopefully she will never have to deal with that again.
The highlight of the month was having Dru's sister, Marina, come to visit.  Our Christmas gift to her was a plane ticket to Maryland.  I had been anxiously awaiting her decision on when she was coming.  We had so much fun with her even though it was a short visit.  We took her to a few of our favorite restaurants, went to see the Ace of Cakes shop in Baltimore, went to see Hunger Games and even made a trip to the National Zoo.  The girls really miss her.  So do Dru and I.  It was too short a visit.  We also learned that Dru got airman of the month in February!  He's so awesome.  Dalia has been standing up a ton and we know she'll be walking so soon!

And here are just some random moments from the month:
