Easter

A couple days before Easter, I took the kids to see the Easter bunny.  They'd seen him at the mall when we'd gone a few times the past month and really just wanted to say hi to the bunny.  I don't think the girls know that a lot of people think he comes to visit their houses and bring them stuff the night before Easter.  Every time we talk about Easter, we talk about Christ.  They got new outfits, a few treats and some sidewalk chalk.  When they woke up Easter morning I told them I had a surprise waiting for them on the table downstairs.  They were super excited about it.  I told them that later in the day we'd go on a little egg hunt with some of our friends.  We made Resurrection rolls for breakfast.  Dalia was still pretty uninterested in listening and only wanted to eat the marshmallows, but Mina understands more and more each year that we make them and read in the scriptures.  We went to church and afterwards prepared a delicious meal with our friends.  The girls enjoyed the egg hunt and Rory enjoyed the company.

Spring is in the Air

The weather has been so nice lately.  The kids have been playing outside a lot and it's so nice to feel the sun on our skin.  The trees have been blooming and look like popcorn.  Mina and Dalia point out every popcorn tree the see when outside.  Mina started to catch on, though, and realize that it isn't actually popcorn on the trees.  We went to the store one day and when Dalia saw the trees in front of the store, she got excited and told us that she saw the popcorn trees.  Mina said that she didn't actually think it was really popcorn, and that they were really flowers.  She asked if we could go check one out to see if she was right or if Dalia was right.  Of course, Mina was right and she happily exclaimed that she was and that Dalia was wrong.  Haha.  They wanted to take a picture in front of the tree and then when we were done shopping we headed to the park.  Rory got to ride in a swing for the first time.  I thought he would have been a little more thrilled, but he was super tired.
