Zoo With the Budges

Alayne told me they really wanted to go to the zoo when they were in town.  So, we planned to go to the zoo and they didn't come with us.  Stinkers.  But, Stephane was able to get off early so he came with Meagan, the kids and me.  The kids were all so good and it was a BEAUTIFUL day.  We couldn't have asked for better weather and it couldn't have been less crowded.  The animals were lively and active, too.  The Fort Worth Zoo is seriously our favorite zoo.  We enjoy it every time we go.  (I tried to not take so many pictures this time since we have so many from the past couple years.)

The highlight of the day, of course, was feeding the birds.  We saved it for the end so they would keep having something to look forward, too.

Dalia kept calling the birds, chickens, and kept chasing them.

And, look, I was there, too!

Jump for Fun

Mina specifically asked to go to this jump place as part of her birthday while we were in Texas.  She talked about it every day for weeks leading up to our trip and the entire time we were there.  The Jorgensens, including Alayne and little Aaron, met us there.  Mina and William took off as soon as we got there and were all over the place.  Dalia enjoyed it at first, but when we told her she couldn't ride an inflatable elephant that decorated the top of one of the bounce houses, she got really sad and just wanted "Peepaw" to hold her.  Aaron was very hesitant and didn't like it at first, but learned to have fun.  Hazel and Dalia collided at one point and Hazel got a black eye.  Jasmine had a blast going down the slides with Whitlee.  Mina also got a burn on her arm from the friction of going down a slide, but she learned to keep her arms in the air.  It was a fun morning with all those cute kiddos.
