Clarkland Farms- 2011

When the Budges were here, they took Mina with them to an AWESOME petting farm for William's birthday. Dru and I were a tad sad to have missed out on Mina's first petting farm experience.  We decided to go the next day when the Budge's left.  And then we went a couple of weeks later with the Milligans and then we went again on a playgroup field trip.  It is so much fun.  Mina got to ride ponies, ride this really cool cow train and we all got to go on a hay ride and pick a pumpkin out of a pumpkin patch.  They have these cool sculpture things from an old abandoned theme park that are nursery rhyme themed.  Some of them are slides, some you just look at and Mina's favorite is a boat that is actually sitting on water that people can walk onto.  Mina also loves to feed the goats and the sheep.  She asks us if we can go back frequently.  They're closed for the winter now, but I think we may just invest in season passes next year!

Playdates

Mina has had lots of fun play dates this summer. We got her a little blow up pool to play with in the backyard and it has proved to be tons of fun. She has had lots of her little friends over to play with her.

Regi comes over quite a bit. They love to play with each other and get so excited to see one another. This particular day we were babysitting Regi and we blew some bubbles out back and then got Mina's little sprinkler mat out. Regi was a little hesitant at first, but once he got used to it, he had a blast. It was fun to watch them try to drink the water. We ended the fun out there with some pop-sicles.

On another occasion, we had Jaiden and Theresa over to play in Mina's pool. These 3 girls are so funny to watch play together. At one point they all started chasing each other for a particular toy. Jaiden brought some watermelon to share and they all had a great time!

On another day, Emma and Mary came to play. These girls are so sweet and Mina had a ton of fun playing with them. It's so funny how much kids copy one another.

Silly Mina

First, a picture of Dalia have her first taste of rice cereal.  She actually really liked it despite what the picture says.  

Mina got into my mascara.

I made a cake for a friend's little girl's birthday party.  This was the test cake.  Mina sneaked into the kitchen and was using a butter knife to get tastes of the cake.

Dru was supposed to be watching Mina while I made the cake.  I told him she could use markers if he made sure to keep an eye on her.  I was interrupted from my cake making to a, "oh no!"  This was what we found.

Mina kept running up and down the stairs one day.  This was what she was doing.
